I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
